McWhinney was one of seven businesses honored Thursday for exemplary business ethics by the Better Business Bureau serving northern Colorado and greater Wyoming.

Also receiving Torch Awards were Professional Finance Co. of Greeley; Chapel & Collins LLC, Colorado CustomWare, Vaught Frye Ripley Design Inc. and Poudre Valley Health System, all of Fort Collins; and A Thru Z Document Destruction, Cheyenne, Wyo.

“The Torch Award is a great honor for me personally and for our company as a whole,” said Chad McWhinney, who was out of town for the event. “It is an award that each associate at McWhinney has helped achieve, and that makes us very proud.”

The BBB Torch Awards honor companies that, in addition to demonstrating exemplary management practices, uphold high standards in relationships with customers, suppliers and shareholders, show honesty and integrity in marketing and advertising, and give back to their communities.
