McWhinney, a Loveland-based development company, has acquired the Hyatt House Denver Airport Hotel for $22.6 million, according to public record.

The 123-room hotel — located at 18741 E. 71st Ave. on the Tower Road commercial strip near Denver International Airport — includes 1,000 square feet of conference space. It will be managed by Denver-based Sage Hospitality.

McWhinney has been increasingly active in Denver since its participation in the redevelopment of Denver Union Station, which was complete in 2014.
