By the end of March, the Maven Hotel will open its doors alongside many parts of the Dairy Block development, including an Denver iteration of Kachina Southwestern Grill and the new Poka Lola Social Club, a bar and lounge.

At Kachina, executive chef Jeff Bolton, who has led the original location in Westminster, is looking forward to a menu that builds upon the Native influences of the first location but adapts to a more urban crowd. That means more composed dishes, more items to share, and a much larger cocktail list. The space is expansive and fun. A large mural dominates the dining room, the kitchen is open and easy to peek into, and a vintage airstream separates the restaurant from the common area of the building.

Poka Lola Social Club, a name that rolls off the tongue and has no hidden meaning outside of being fun, aims to bring not only guests of the hotel and the restaurant in but also those working in the hospitality industry. Veteran barman Mike Henderson along with Sage Hospitality beverage director Brandon Wise are working on a menu that is friendly, fun, and affordable for that audience.

The Dairy Block will bring much more to the scene: A breakfast spot, another bar, a butcher shop and flower shop and more. Stay tuned for details. Below is a sneak peek photo tour from Eater Denver photographer Adam Larkey.
