Dairy Block Honored by NAIOP Colorado as “Deal of the Year”

DENVER — Denver’s newest micro-district redevelopment in the heart of Lower Downtown – was recently honored as Deal of the Year at the 2017 NAIOP Colorado Awards of Achievement.

The 31st annual NAIOP Awards of Achievement honored both commercial and residential real estate projects and developers throughout Colorado.

Developed by McWhinney, Sage Hospitality and Grand American, Inc., Dairy Block is a vibrant, walkable micro-district that offers two new downtown towers – a six-story tower with 220,000 square feet of office space and an eight-story independent hotel – both of which opened Spring 2017. The development also features 73,000 square feet of prime retail and restaurant space, with the new construction being integrated with the three existing historic Windsor Dairy buildings by The Alley, Denver’s first pedestrian alleyway, which runs from 18th and 19thbetween Blake and Wazee Streets.

Office tenants at Dairy Block include the Denver headquarters for McWhinney, industrial real estate firm ProLogis, the national headquarters for Italian fast-casual chain Romano’s Macaroni Grill, the downtown Denver office of Equus Software, the CTRL Collective shared office space and Cuvee, a luxury lifestyle and travel company.
