LOVELAND, Colo. — McWhinney, Colorado-based real estate investor and developer with expertise in commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, multifamily and residential assets and master developer of Centerra, recently purchased the building at 3420 E. Harmony Road in Fort Collins.

The purchase expands McWhinney’s footprint and portfolio of property types in Fort Collins and across northern Colorado.

Located on the corporate campus immediately west of the Interstate 25 and Harmony Road exit, the three-story 179,688-square-foot commercial building is adjacent to the Arapaho Bend Natural Area and its roughly 4 miles of trails, and is situated across the street from a variety of shopping and dining amenities.

“We’re pleased to expand McWhinney’s collection of commercial offerings in northern Colorado with this purchase,” said Troy McWhinney, chief investment officer and co-founder of McWhinney. “Northern Colorado is the birthplace of McWhinney. In a region with a combined population expected to grow to one million people by 2035, we’re committed to its future.”

Existing tenants of the Class A office building include Comcast, Madwire and Micro Focus.

CBRE represented both parties in the transaction. Peter Kelly represented McWhinney and Peter Kast represented the seller with Alex Sommerville and Chad Flynn.
