Downtown Denver street gets new life in LoDo

DENVER — Construction crews are helping to revitalize Denver’s past.  Historic buildings in LoDo are becoming the facade of the city’s future.

Known as the “Dairy Block,” the area along 18^th — between Wazee and Blake — is getting in the midst of a renaissance.

“The nature of this block once upon a time was all about the people who made things,” said Mark Witkiewicz, of McWhinney Development, which is based in Denver.
