McWhinney starts new industrial building in east Loveland

Loveland developer McWhinney has begun work on a second industrial building on East 37th Street in Centerra.

The 84,000-square-foot building will be constructed just west of Centerra Industrial 1, a building of the same size that McWhinney completed at 5195 E. 37th St. last spring.

Both buildings have been developed on spec, meaning the company doesn’t have tenants signed up when it starts building.

The first building was fully leased last fall, with coffee cold-brew company Toddy taking the first 41,945 square feet in October and Safelite automotive glass and claims management company leasing the other half of the building in November.

“After the positive response to the first building on the campus, we recognize the need to provide additional industrial space in Northern Colorado,” Ashley Stiles, vice president of development for McWhinney, said in a press release last week.

When announcing the construction of the first building last year, a company official said it could be the first of several in that area of Centerra designed for light industrial uses.

The new building will have 14 dock-high doors, four drive-in doors and up to 24-foot ceiling heights, the release said.

Mike Eyer and Kyle Lundy of CBRE are marketing the commercial space for McWhinney.
