New on Crane Watch: 1,300 apartment units, more industrial space

Even after two years of a steady supply of apartment projects, five new complexes totaling nearly 1,300 units were added to the Crane Watch map.

Loveland-based developer McWhinney’s 12-story complex called Sova at 19th and Grant broke ground recently, and in City Park West, Park 17, a 190-unit project at 1655 Lafayette St., is underway.

And in the West Colfax neighborhood, Texas-based Embrey Development pulled its permit for a 375-unit apartment complex called Vue at Mile High.

Aside from apartments Trammell Crow Co. and DCT Industrial broke ground recently on industrial projects in Englewood and Aurora, respectively, adding a combined 288,029 square feet to a drum-tight market in metro Denver.
