Installation Information

The murals found in the eastern archways are comprised of a custom pattern inspired by the floral imagery found in lace, botanical drawings and buffalo. The vegetative shapes found in a lace sample were translated into the profile and plan view of imagined flora. Then, after sewing the plant images together with hoops and archways, buffalo horns were added to fill out the crown of the ovals. The silver leaf mural reveals itself as it catches light and fades as the light is obscured.
