Fan’s work is a blend of traditional and contemporary techniques, using ink or graphite mixed with digital. “The Whale” is reminiscent of the classic story of Moby Dick. This titanic-sized “White Whale” launches a stealthy, surprise underwater attack on an unsuspecting ship merely one-tenth the size of the great fish.
