These playful brain teasers ask the viewers to stop, read, and spend time with the art. Artist John Boak loves to play with words and phrases. Using images of real Colorado license plates, Boak has digitally rendered in literary quotes from J.R.R. Tolkien, William Shakespeare, and Robert Frost. These images play with the idea of traditional vanity plates, however by using such specific text, that artist has elevated an everyday object.
