Installation Information

Fort Collins artist Johanna Mueller borrows from ancient and spiritual cultural traditions in her work. Steeped in symbolism, her works create a narrative of the animal world that provide myriad interpretations. Trained as a printmaker, Johanna uses her relief engravings as the starting point for her paintings. The works in each of the Sunset Lounge restrooms share the same overall composition but are mirror images of one another and in opposite color tones, one warm and feminine, the other cool and masculine.
