Installation Information

Just as all transit leads to the hub of Union Station all roads lead to this historic home seen from the courtyard of an Austrian palace. Using an image taken during my European travels, the piece reflects the spirit of exploration that has inspired people for hundreds of years. Although this piece was created in 2004 the Van Dyke Brown photographic method is historic. The piece is made using a 150 year old chemical formula for emulsion applied to paper, a contact print with an enlarged negative, sun exposure and water development.
