Airworks is a two person team made up of Colorado artists Melanie Walker and George Peters. Walker and Peters believe that public artwork should reflect a place’s character, positively influence people that use and inhabit a space, and infuse spaces with color, culture, and heart. The duo creates large scale sculptural works: aerial sculpture, mobile and wind sculpture, kite works, architectural works, and installation sculpture. Airworks has installed over seventy public art projects, nationally and internationally, in public libraries, universities and colleges, recreation centers, health care centers, and in transportation systems.
