Cyane Tornatzyk

Cyane Tornatzky is an artist and Associate Professor of Electronic Art at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Tornatzky uses multimedia materials to create 2D and time-based artworks. Her focus is on dis/un-covering both positive and negative aspects of our digital existence. Sub-contexts in her work make reference to feminism, psychology, and our relationships to our bodies.

Some exhibition highlights of 2020 are the “Fourth Annual International Short Film Festival”, Aggregate Space Gallery, Oakland; and group shows at ArtJuxtapoze in Rosendale, NY and the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts in Long Beach Island, NJ.

In addition to her exhibition highlights of 2020, Tornatzky is Co-PI on a project that received Catalyst for Innovative Partnerships from CSU’s Office of the Vice President of Research; she received an Ann Gill Faculty Development Award from the College of Liberal Arts; and she was awarded a Bimson Humanities Grant.

In the classroom, Tornatzky has been investigating serious games as an art form for the past three years.
