Mark Silvers

Art has always been a part of Mark Silvers life. For the past 25 years, he has lived the life of a professional artist and teacher. He is currently teaches high school art full time. He loves teaching and encouraging others in their artistic journey. His first love in painting is probably landscape but he also paints florals, still lifes, animals and people. One of his favorite things is to spend a day in the mountains plein air painting. He often explores the more personal creative avenues of self expression which has produced a series of “contemporary” paintings.” He also works on a continuing series of abstract expression paintings. Mark is inspired by the challenge of responding to the medium without the consideration and distraction of subject matter.

Silvers has been recognized in a number of prestigious shows including The National Watercolor Society, Allied Artists of America (New York City), Watercolor USA, Transparent Watercolor Society of America, Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibit, Top 100 Arts for the Parks, The Colorado Governors Art Show, Colorado Watercolor Society, and others.
