The recently redeveloped Denver Union Station was among those projects and people honored at the annual NAIOP awards for commercial real estate.
Union Station was given the Development Deal of the Year award at the awards presentation last week. The redevelopment of the 120-year-old train station was completed by a partnership called Union Station Alliance, comprised of Urban Neighborhoods, Sage Hospitality, McWhinney, REGen LLC and Larimer Associates.
Dana Crawford of Urban Neighborhoods accepted the award on behalf of the project.
In addition to the private partners, revamping Union Station also required coordination with the City of Denver, Regional Transportation District, National Parks Service and AMTRAK.
The redevelopment took place over the course of two years and was completed last July. Click to view the Denver Business Journal online article.
