Denver, CO – The project development team for Denver’s Dairy Block project, consisting of McWhinney, Sage Hospitality and Grand American, Inc., recently released a video to tell the Dairy Block story recounting the project’s history and the overall vision for the revitalized LoDo space.
Mark Witkiewicz, Senior Vice President of Commercial Development for McWhinney, comments on the overall nature of Dairy Block by saying in the video, “Blending the new with the old is part of the fabric that is woven into the project.”
The full city block redevelopment will add several new attractions from the activated alley space designed for a community of makers, to the flexible floor plate office space, a variety of retail components and The Maven, an independent hotel, all situated along Wazee and Blake Streets between 18th and 19th Streets.
“There are very few opportunities today to get an entire city block, including an alley, and creating a great destination,” comments Walter Isenberg, Co-Founder, President and CEO of Sage Hospitality, in the video.
The project team is rounded out by NAI Shames Makovsky providing retail leasing, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank for office leasing, Saunders Construction as the general contractor for Dairy Block and JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE as the architect and interior designer for The Maven hotel. Dairy Block is set to open in the Spring of 2017.
