DENVER, COLO. – February 25, 2015 – The partnership of McWWHINNEY, Sage Hospitality and Grand American announce the initiation of redevelopment on the historic Windsor Dairy block in lower downtown Denver, known as Z Block. The project will impact the city block between 18th and 19th, and Blake and Wazee Streets.
Through thoughtful renovation, the historic buildings on the block will be carefully renovated in addition to the development of new restaurants, local retail stores, and planned office, as well as a 172-room boutique hotel on the mixed-use site. The project will contribute significantly to the vibrancy and sense of historical value in lower downtown Denver, while respecting its history by preserving those buildings previously designated as historically significant.
“The rich history of the Windsor Dairy Block is remarkable and an important part of Denver’s future,” said Chad McWhinney, CEO of McWhinney. “Our team looks forward to the enhancement of this block while preserving and respecting its significance to our city’s history.”
