Loveland Wins Project of the Year for I-25-U.S. 34 Interchange Construction Project

The city of Loveland Department of Public Works was awarded the 2011 American Public Works Association (APWA) Project of the Year for the Interstate 25-U.S. 34 interchange construction project that was completed in June 2011 for a total of $11.25 million; $9.3 million in construction costs and $1.94 million in design and inspection costs.
The project was funded by the Centerra Metropolitan District. Collaborating with the city on the construction were the consultant and construction teams of SEH, Wilson & Company, and New Design Construction.
This project brought together outstanding design and construction, partnership with the private sector and the ability to meet local needs on federal and state highways through key partnerships at all levels of government.
“Not only is this a great on-the-ground project, but an excellent example of how projects of this kind will need to be executed across the nation to meet our continuing local and national demand to address failing infrastructure,” said Keith Reester, director of the city of Loveland Public Works department.
