LOVELAND, COLO. – July 1, 2014 – McWhinney, an experienced Colorado-based real estate investment, management and development company responsible for multi-use developments in Colorado and California, has announced a project adding 250 apartment homes to its North Park mixed-use community in Broomfield, Colo. McWhinney will break ground on the project in late 2015.
“The timing for this development could not be better. We are excited to usher in the next phase of the North Park community,” McWhinney Founder and CEO Chad McWhinney said. “This project provides the ideal opportunity to build upon McWhinney’s award-winning tradition of creating a better, more beautiful world.”
The 935-acre development is strategically positioned west of I-25, between Highway 7 and Northwest Parkway. McWhinney previously developed locations for Prospect Ridge Academy (both K-8 and high school) and formerly announced the planned additions of the University of Colorado Health (UCHealth) medical campus to the North Park community. McWhinney’s role in the area extends to the surrounding community as the company also developed Arbour Commons, a multi-family project in The Orchard Town Center, approximately three miles south of North Park.
North Park serves as a centrally located mixed-use community with direct connection to downtown Denver and close proximity to Denver International Airport (DIA) and Boulder, including access to major Front Range universities and regional attractions. Plans for North Park’s additional development include direct access to shopping and dining, natural open spaces and trails, and a walkable urban core business district.
