LOVELAND, COLO. – August 17, 2014 – McWhinney, a leading Colorado-based real estate investment, management and development company, is pleased to announce the start of construction for its latest retail development project within its Van de Water community. The 18,000-square-foot in-line retail development will officially break ground in mid-September, with anticipated completion in the spring of 2016.
The development has signed multiple tenants, which include Mattress Firm, 5 Star Nails & Spa, and Domino’s Pizza. The retail development can accommodate additional retail users attracted by Highway 34’s high visibility within the remaining 8,800 square feet. The retail project is situated off of Sculptor Drive near Lowe’s and Kohl’s and is located minutes from McWhinney’s 3,000-acre master-planned community, Centerra.
“We are excited to see the continued development of our Van de Water community,” said Ashley Stiles, McWhinney’s vice president of development. “Given the region’s population growth and Van de Water’s proximity to local residents and businesses, the site could not be better positioned within Loveland’s growing community.”
Van de Water is a strategically located, 370-acre multi-use community combining residential homes, commercial retail and business uses in a convenient location off Highway 34 and Sculptor Drive. The community continues to benefit from its convenient location offering easy access to I-25 and downtown Loveland, and is within walking distance for residents located at The Greens multifamily community and the Saint Aubyn Homes residential subdivision situated directly behind Lowe’s.
