DENVER, COLO. — June 20, 2016 — McWhinney is pleased to announce the addition of Kyle Harris as Vice President of Community Development and General Manager-North Park. McWhinney is an experienced regional real estate investment, management and development company responsible for multi-use developments in several states.
Kyle brings nearly two decades of experience in creating and developing master-planned communities to McWhinney. As Vice President of Community Development and General Manager of North Park, Kyle will develop and oversee the strategy, vision, development, and execution of North Park, a 935-acre multiuse master-planned community located in Broomfield, Colo.
Prior to joining McWhinney, Kyle spent 11 years with Granby Ranch, a 5,000-acre community, as CEO and Vice President of Development. During his time with Granby Ranch, he managed the development of 850 residential units, developed a new master plan for the community, extended entitlements by 40 years, established a variety of community amenities including a skier services building, golf clubhouse & event pavilion, community pool and fitness facility, downhill mountain bike park, and 40 miles of community trails, all while leading the team that turned these amenity operations to profitability. Additionally, Kyle served as president of the community metropolitan districts.
Kyle has also held leadership positions with other noted Colorado mountain resorts, including Devil’s Thumb Ranch, where he, as VP of Program Development, helped the new owner research and build business plans around potential product offerings ranging from spa operations to snowcat skiing. As Project Manager with Hines, Kyle helped complete the 230-unit Zephyr Mountain Lodge condominium at the base of the Winter Park Resort, completed lease-out of the commercial space, and founded the property management company that served the development.
