Northern Colorado | Commercial and Mixed Use

The Women’s Clinic of Northern Colorado (WCNC) and UC Health Poudre Valley Hospital needed development management services for two concurrent projects: a 60,000 s.f. Medical Office Building and a 740-space parking garage. PVH and the WCNC selected McWhinney to concurrently manage the design and construction of the first pedestrian bridge over public right of way in the city of Fort Collins. Competent project leadership to maneuver through Planning Commission and City Council was critical with an adjacent neighborhood contesting the project. Two design teams were managed through a simultaneous design process to allow for a single bid process, saving the project over $3,000,000.

McWhinney coordinated complex transactional issues between PVH and the WCNC in a complicated deal structure with significant on-site parking issues. Tenant coordination services for all seven tenants was completed to budget and schedule. The integration of three design styles was managed with the existing hospital, the contemporary MOB, and the traditional parking structure to maximize MOB identity. McWhinney is contracted to manage this property.
