When creating her art pieces, Feniak searches for signs of nature's autonomy - especially tenacity and fragility. Initial sketched impressions and studies reveal movement from previous postures and forms, lively spontaneous lines, brushstrokes, and washes capture fleeting luminosity, while areas of untouched canvas conserve breath. Within one image she hopes to capture more than the moment, giving the viewer the opportunity to witness the subject's enduring vibrance.
